Fatigue Fracture on Engineering Structure Seminar--CHENGDU

 


From Apr. 13rd to Apr. 15th, CONSYS and State Key Laboratory of Traction Power which is the strongest laboratory in High Speed Railway Technology, held the ‘Fatigue Fracture on Engineering Structure’ seminar, which is aimed to provide technical support By TPL-ZenCrack Simulation Lab of Fatigue Fracture .

The purpose of this seminar is to promote research results on fatigue fracture to apply in Aviation, nuclear industry, high speed railway industry, drilling platform and Warship industry, etc.. Professor Yandong Wang from University of Science and Technology Beijing, Technical Director of ZENTECH Dr. Christopher MT., professor Junhua Zhao and wise professor Peishi Yu from Jiangnan University, professor Qingyuan Wang from Sichuan University, Technical Director of Consys Charly Ma and a lot of teachers and students from Southwest Jiaotong University attended the seminar.

On the first day of the seminar, professor Yandong Wang gave a report “Application of New Technology--Three-Dimensional Detection with Synchrotron Radiation and Neutron on Safety Evaluation of Key Component in High Speed Railway Industry”. Participants listened the report carefully and made a positive communication with professor Wang; professor Qingyuan Wang gave a report “Accelerating Experimental Methods on Long Lifetime Fatigue Fracture under Complex Conditons and the Development on Related Instruments”, which explained profound theories in simple language and was got positive response.

On the morning of the second day, participants visited National Laboratory for Rail Transportation and observed the high speed railway platform carefully.

On the third day, Dr. Christopher MT gave a speech on the key technology of simulation of crack growth and introduced the new functions of ZenCrack V7.9., which topic Participants were very interested in. Many questions are raised and Dr. Christopher made a good communication and discussion with the audience. Meanwhile, professor Junhua Zhao and wise professor Peishi Yu gave reports “The interface strength and debonding for composite structures: review and recent significant developments” and “Evaluation on Fatigue Fracture of Major Equipment with cracks ” respectively and answered the questions from the audience with their deep professional knowledge.
